Some product information

Original Wiener Schnitzel

One of our specialities is the original "Wiener Schnitzel": breaded escalope of veal tenderloin with potato-cucumber salad and cranberries.

The History of "Wiener Schnitzel"

According to legend, the original recipe comes from Italy. Field Marshal Radetzky is said to have introduced the costoletta milanese to the empire in 1857. The recipe was then revised at the Viennese court and from there it soon conquered the entire empire.

Initially, the Wiener Schnitzel was considered a festive meal for Christmas, New Year and weddings. Today, the Wiener Schnitzel is a typical Sunday dish in Austria.
