About our culinary highlights

At our restaurant you can enjoy Bavarian brewery classics like roast pork knuckle or roast pork “brewery style” in a hearty beer gravy, Berlin’s classics like pork knuckle “Berlin style” or Berlin curry sausage or Austrian delicacies like Viennese escalope or Tyrolean cheese spaetzle.

If you are in the mood for something smaller we offer various soups and salads as well as cold specialities like for example the traditional Austrian “Brettljause”. Also vegetarians will find something on our menu: how about vegetarian pasta pockets or a baked potato with sour cream?

Original Viennese escalope

One of our specialities is the original "Wiener Schnitzel": breaded escalope of veal tenderloin with tepid potato-cucumber salad and cranberries.

The history of the "Wiener Schnitzel"

According to a legend it was originally created in Italy. Field marshal Radetzky is supposed to have imported the costoletta milanese into the former Austrian empire. At the Viennese Court the recipe was reworked and from there the dish was conquering the whole empire.

Initially the Viennese escalope was considered as celebratory meal for Christmas, New Year’s and weddings. Today it is considered as typical Sunday dish in Austria.
