Our assortment of beer

Choose between the wheat beer traditionally brewed in Bavaria, the Berliner Kindl Naturtrüb, an unfiltered cellar beer, the regional Pilsner from Berliner Kindl or the classic dark beer.

For everyone who can’t decide which beer to choose, we offer our beer tasting served on wooden boards including all of our tap beers. Another speciality of our house are the numerous wheat beer mixed drinks.

The history of our food classics

Both the Berlin curry sausage and the "Wiener Schnitzel" offer us an interesting history.

Original Viennese Escalope

According to a legend it was originally created in Italy. Field marshal Radetzky is supposed to have imported the costoletta milanese into the former Austrian empire in 1857. At the Viennese Court the recipe was reworked and from there the dish was conquering the whole empire.

At our place the historical veal dish is served in a traditional way with potato-cucumber salad and according to Austrian custom with cranberries.

Berlin Curry Sausage

The invention of the Berlin curry sausage is often attributed to Herta Heuwer, who is supposed to have sold a cooked and then roasted sausage in a sauce of tomato mark, curry powder, Worcestershire sauce and various other ingredients already in 1949 at her snack bar in the Berlin district Charlottenburg.

Needless to say, we continue this legacy and serve the Berlin classic with our homemade curry sauce and french fries.
